Stroll for a Cause
Stroll for a Cause will be the first showcase highlighting participating organizations’ philanthropy. The show is to promote awareness and expose each organization’s beliefs in the community. Performers are able to collaborate and offer their own sense of style, perceptions, values, and opinions about philanthropy that they have otherwise not yet been able to express. Organizations will be competing for money that will go towards their philanthropy of choice.
Stroll for a Cause will create a creative atmosphere where countless young, talented peers from all around the Chicagoland area can freely promote themselves through strolling, stepping, and saluting. We are extremely excited to invite organizations to be a part of our historical moment. We hope to provide opportunities for organizations to share their values, beliefs, and most importantly, their philanthropy through this event.

American Bone Health Association
Delta Phi Lambda Eta Chapter strives to raise awareness for many organizations focusing on Osteoporosis, especially with our partnership with American Bone Health. Here they help people 'Build Strong Bones for Life'.
Osteoporosis is a debilitating disease characterized by low bone mass and, thus, bones that are susceptible to fracture. If not prevented or
if left untreated, osteoporosis can progress painlessly until a bone breaks, typically in the hip, spine, or wrist. A hip fracture can limit mobility and lead to a loss of independence, while vertebral fractures can result in a loss of height, stooped posture, and chronic pain.
The bone disease osteoporosis is caused by more bone cells being resorbed than being deposited. This imbalance results in a progressive loss of bone density and a thinning of bone tissue. Osteoporotic bones are more porous and therefore more vulnerable to fracture. Women, particularly Asian women, have higher risks of developing osteoporosis. With our support of research and various non-profit organizations in the battle against osteoporosis through numerous philanthropic efforts, we're able to better inform the community
about this devastating disease.

Community Service
Delta Phi Lambda, Eta Chapter, takes a lot of pride in all of the community service work we participate in. Every quarter, each sister completes 10 hours of community service work of her choice. Some of the community service projects that we have participated in the past are: Hot Chocolate Run, Primary School benefits, Junior Achievement, F3 Marathon, Shamrock Shuffle, and more. These are just a few of the many organizations and events that we volunteer for throughout the Chicago land area! It's imperative for us to be engaged in all aspects of our society in order to nurture personal growth while promoting positive and progression change.
