WELCOME TO OUR CHAPTER!
When I was a freshman, I was honestly lost - physically in the buildings of DePaul (of course)… but I mean I was lost because I couldn’t find my sense of belonging on campus. I met the sisters of Delta Phi Lambda (DFL) during recruitment, and that’s when I started to have hope. They were so kind, personable, smart, ambitious, and cool! I aspired to be a sister one day because I wanted to be a part of this family. I felt like I found my home away from home.
Fast forward to three years later, and I am so excited to hold the position of President this year. I am honored to lead these incredible women that uphold our mission and values that I hold dear to my heart. Not only this, but being in this Everlasting Sisterhood© means you will be loved for the rest of your life. The sorority has given me lifelong friendship. I know one day I will call some of these women my future bridesmaids, and they are the women who will knit with me on my front porch with a glass of wine when I’m 70 and retired.
Fun Fact: The letters DFL stand for Dedicated Female Leaders, but we’re also always Down For Lunch!
